Journalist | Broadcaster | Consultant

Jon Liedtke is a prominent Canadian commentator and investigative journalist known for his sharp analysis of the intersection between regional Ontario politics and global geopolitical shifts. As a regular contributor to 610 CKTB and a veteran voice on AM800 CKLW, CTV Windsor, and Toronto’s Newstalk 1010, Jon has emerged as a leading authority on the “North American Border War.”

His deep-dive reporting spans the complexities of the Windsor-Detroit corridor and the Moroun family interests of the Ambassador Bridge, to the “administrative siege” of Jewish life in Canada, tracking the de-listing of Jewish charities supportive of Jewish Indigeneity and the rise of antisemitic lawfare.

Beyond the airwaves, Jon is an accomplished entrepreneur and the owner of Liedtke Strategic Group, where he provides full-service strategic guidance to the cannabis industry, hospitality sector, major festivals, and regional tourism organizations.

His diverse professional history includes co-owning community newspapers and operating Higher Limits, which was recognized as the world’s largest cannabis lounge at the time of its operation. This unique blend of boots-on-the-ground business experience and media savvy allows him to track the industrial heartland’s struggle against shifting global markets – from automakers’ maneuvers to the evolving national cannabis landscape.

Jon brings a rare depth of historical context and critical insight to today’s “pressure cooker” political environment. He currently co-hosts and produces KVETCH with Jon Liedtke podcast and is a member of SAG-AFTRA and the International Association of Genocide Scholars.

He is a proud member of the Samish Indian Nation and sits on its Appeals and Housing Committees, and sits on the board of the Windsor Jewish Federation.

Whether he is dissecting provincial security plans or discussing the friction of U.S. diplomatic coercion, Jon remains a dedicated advocate for transparency and informed public discourse.
