BIZ X MAGAZINE – Feb. 26, 2018
Time is ticking until the Attorney General’s March 5th consultation on lounges is due, this is the very last week that you can have your say on proposed places of use in Ontario. As such, lounge owners are holding a Day of Action for Lounges on March 1st. Several lounges across Ontario are taking action, find out what you can do locally to have your say by March 5th!
Higher Limits says they are proud to be taking part in the Ontario wide Day of Action for cannabis lounges, organized by Sensible Ontario, to bring awareness of the AG March 5 cannabis lounge consultation deadline.
Higher Limits say they have collected over 300 responses from community members supporting either onsite cannabis consumption at cannabis lounges, onsite cannabis sale for onsite consumption at cannabis lounges, or both.
On March 1 Higher Limits is inviting the community to fill out the survey on their website, or receive a free bong rental if you fill out the survey in person at Higher Limits on your cell phone.
“With over 300 responses supporting both onsite cannabis consumption and/or onsite cannabis sale at cannabis lounges, we’re heartened to know our local community shares the same sensible values we do. We want the opportunity to sell cannabis and allow for consumption onsite the same way a bar or restaurant allows alcohol.” – Jon Liedtke, co-owner of Higher Limits, North America’s largest cannabis lounge
Higher Limits will be submitting the responses to the Ministry of the Attorney General on behalf of those who submit the survey.
Several lounges across Ontario are taking action on March 5th including:
- Hotbox Cafe, Kensington Market
- Higher Limits, Windsor
- Coffee Pot Lounge, Windsor
- Natural Budz, Pickering
- Planet Paradise, East Toronto
- Vapor Central, Downtown Toronto
- Underground Comedy Club, Queen East
- Women Grow Toronto, Queen West
