In 2012 the owner of Phog Lounge, Tom Lucier, launched an art project called the Windsor Rock Wall that became the Windsor Music Tangle, connecting in a web of lines all the performers and bands that have played in Windsor.
An ambitious piece of art to say the least, the project grew into a 15 foot by 10 foot mural that was housed at Phog, SB Contemporary Art Gallery, at the AGW in the Betty F. Wilkinson Room, and stored permanently and digitally on a website partnership between the government of Ontario and Windsor Public Library, which lives on to this day.
For some reason, I am located prominently at the epicentre of the original physical mural when it was first created, and to this day, I’ve never known why. However, I am humbled to even have been included in the piece because at the time I was relatively new to Windsor’s music scene.
