Craft Heads Brewing Company and Higher Limits Cannabis Lounge, two downtown Windsor businesses focused on building up the core, have teamed up to present a special, one-of-a-kind hemp beer, aptly named “THC: Tasty Hemp Concoction”.

The beer is 4% alcohol, 20IBU and hemp seed based, and it plays on 420 – the annual celebration of all things cannabis – and contains no THC (tetrahydrocannabinol, the active agent in cannabis) whatsoever.

The beer release is to demonstrate two-fold that two vastly different businesses can work together in the pursuit of building up our downtown and entrepreneurial community, but also to help normalize the cannabis community and overcome the stigmas associated with it.

“For too long legal cannabis users have been forcibly segregated from society, and we are here to help change that,” said Jon Liedtke, co-owner of Higher Limits and coordinator of the Canadian Cannabis Confederation. “Cannabis and community can and do mix – this is the first of many community focused events and collaborations.”

On April 20th, Craft Heads Brewing Company will launch the “THC: Tasty Hemp Concoction”.

“We’re excited to be a part of 420 and to be able to help grow our downtown community,” said Bryan Datoc, co-owner of Craft Heads. “The more things to draw people into the downtown core, the better.”
